Richard Blake, MIT, CHT, is a skillful and dedicated hypnotherapist, who draws extensively on his lifelong explorations of psychology, meditative practices, and the healing power of the imagination. Richard is committed to improving your mental, emotional, and physical health by helping you reclaim a healthy and productive relationship with the incredible resources of your unconscious mind.
With his wife, Rebecca Maya Parker, Richard created Root of Healing to help you get to the root of your issues, so you can experience profound healing in a safe, gentle, and natural way. Using the tremendous healing powers of the body and mind in cooperation, Richard helps people achieve lasting transformation with issues such as anger, grief, fear, stress, anxiety, depression, lack of confidence, relationship difficulties, creative blockages, insomnia, weight loss, and clarifying life purpose, and much more.
Richard was trained and certified in hypnotherapy at Jack Elias’s Institute for Therapeutic Learning in Seattle, WA; received advanced hypnotherapy training and certification in the 5-PATH hypnotherapy system from Cal Banyan in Tustin, CA; is registered with the State of Washington as a hypnotherapist and counselor; is a member of the National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH), the oldest and largest hypnotism organization in the world; and is a member of the Washington Chapter of the NGH. Additionally, Richard is certified as a 7th Path self-hypnosis instructor and a practitioner of the Informing Soul Technique. He received his baccalaureate degree in English Literature from the University of Michigan and a Master’s degree in Secondary Education from the University of Washington.
